I should be at work
But I’m working from home, with not a lot to do. I got my Covid vaccination on Friday - J&J, one and done. I waited in line for 2.5 hours, and it knocked me on my ass for a day and a half. I don’t yet have the feeling that my constant stress and teeth clenching have eased, but I do feel like I’m one step closer to . . . something.
My studio mates will all be vaccinated this week and I’ll feel safe returning to my paints and pastels and the messier supplies I like to use. It has been odd, but slightly liberating to have made art for months with only colored pencils, Inktense, and watercolors - things I can put away tidily at the end of the day. I splurged and got lightfast colored pencils which I thought I’d love, but meh. Then I splurged and got another set of lightfast colored pencils which I think I’ll love when they’re in stock, but the order for which I might cancel as buyers remorse has been stewing for two weeks since I placed it.
